In addition to using my pretty extensive library of etymological dictionaries, I also relied pretty heavily on the Online Etymological Dictionary when putting together the word lists. Based on a comparative review of their etymologies versus those in my books and on other websites, I didn't always agree with their word histories, but for the most part, they have a really amazing website and it's a lot of fun to browse around.
Credits
The layout for this site was inspired by Dave Reeder's "Grapes" design for OSWD. It was greatly edited in Notepad and designed using Mozilla Firefox. The header image came from Wikipedia (source) and was edited using Corel Paint Shop Pro XI.
The fanlisting was opened on July 22, 2009 as part of Love and the Intensité collective, and is approved by and affiliated with the Fanlistings Network.
The fanlisting maintenance script used is Enthusiast. As with all other projects hosted on this domain, hosting is generously provided by the wonderful Kya.
